The F8X downpipes are strategically engineered to virtually eliminate the immensely restrictive characteristics of the factory F87 M2C, F80 M3 and F82 M4 downpipes – therefore reducing radiant heat and increasing performance. The initial prototype design didn’t include the flex joints you see in the images above. Without these flex joints, the prototypes created an annoying vibration from within the cabin. AA quickly realized the necessity of including flex joints into the design and went back to the drawing board.
