The JB4 adds upon the Stage1 by including CANbus, full data logging, multiple performance maps, user adjustable fuel control, boost by gear settings, WMI support, JB4 Mobile wireless compatibility, and much more. Compatible both as stand alone tuning systems or in conjunction with performance flash maps where logging, safety, and fine tuning tools are desirable. Note these systems are BETA and the N63 and N63TU platforms do have various quarks and headaches when attempting to push higher power levels. See notes below for each application. We suggest these N63/N63TU JB4 systems for more experienced enthusiasts only who are not afraid to get their hands dirty, perform data logs, and fine tune things where appropriate. Usage notes for each application: F Series N63: Motor is misfire prone at higher boost levels, often requiring new plugs, coils, or fuel injectors. The JB4 attaches to the TMAP sensors for boost control, and includes optional fuel control wires which attach to the DME connectors using plug and play wiring pins. The BCM is an optional add on and suggested for those planning on running higher boost levels and also attaches to the DME connectors using plug and play wiring pins. While the system is technically plug and play and fully reversible, it does involve disassembling and reassembling the DME's electrical connectors to insert the pins. For beginning tuners we suggest NOT installing any of the DME wires and just running the JB4 with TMAP connectors & OBDII. F Series N63TU: Requires the MAF sensors be unplugged while JB4 is active, which will result in a false alarm check engine light in dash unless passive delete is enabled in the JB4 interface. For boost levels over map1 extra fuel pressure wires are suggested which connect to the end of each fuel rail under the airboxes. 2016+ models generally use the "small B58" fuel pressure connector while 2014-2015 models generally use the "large N55" fuel pressure connector. We suggest verifying which ones you need before ordering the fuel pressure connectors to add on. The BCM is suggested for map levels over map1 and attaches to the boost solenoids under the passenger side intercooler. G Series N63TU: Currently evaluating map1 levels only, which does not require extra fuel connectors or BCM attachment, but both are compatible similar to F series N63TU.

The latest kit for the S63TU M5/M6/X5M/X6M includes JB4 functions never before available to the platform including on the fly map switching, boost limiting in lower gears for improved traction, an in dash boost gauge, full CANbus data logging, code read/delete, integrated water/methanol tuning with progressive safety systems, and the ability to tune for as much boost as your octane and/or fuel system will allow. For most running pump fuels expect power gains of around 100whp over stock. For those who really want to push the factory turbos with a water/methanol injection kit and higher octane fuel power gains of up to 240whp over stock are possible.

The JB4 also supports larger S63TU turbos. We've had customers report as much as 900hp to the wheels using simple Stage1 turbos! The JB4 is absolutely the most flexible and easy to use tuning solution for the s63tu platform and is even compatible with cars already running flash maps who want to add more power, WMI control, or extra features to their tuning. Installation is fully reversible attaching to the TMAP sensors and OBDII port. The included BCM wires are optional and allow the JB4 to take direct control of the wastegates for more precise boost targeting for higher boost maps.

The JB4 is a fully plug and play device that installs and removes in minutes at home without special tools and unlike flash maps that permanently write over your DME with the JB4 your DME is never aware it's running more than the factory power levels. And when you're ready to change things up the JB4 is not VIN locked and can be moved to your next vehicle or resold. For those running a DCT transmission we've found the factory clutch packs are only good for around 640whp before they start slipping. If you are planning for more power than this plan to upgrade to Dodson or SSP clutch packs sooner or later.
